Recycling Sorting & Separation

To ensure optimum material recovery rates, our recycling systems are complimented by a vast range of first-class material handling, sorting and separation technology. Our material sorters and separators reliably recover the greatest possible value from a waste resource stream, whether it’s ferrous or non-ferrous materials.

Our range of material handling machinery includes: overbelt magnet separation, magnetic pulleys, magnetic drums, X-ray sensors and current separators. Each piece of equipment is extremely efficient and can operate for long periods of time. They are easy to use and have patented protection systems to guard against waste wrapping.

More about this product

These over-belt separators are efficient, economic and competitively priced permanent magnet metal separators.

Designed for the greatest performance and with the most variances to match any requirement, including or electrical mechanical or hydraulic power drive.

Typically installed down stream of primary shredded materials, such as industrial waste, scrap timber waste or power station slag (from refuse derived fuel), the IMP separator is high performing, cost effective and has low running costs.

Equipped with ‘deep field’ electro-magnets, the IMP separator can handle large and heavy iron parts within a working distance of 500mm.

Each IMP separator is supplied to a match specified built, with such options as belt type, belt width and length, working distance, mountings and power drive.

IAP Series of suspended permanent magnets are used globally wherever ferrous metal is suspected present.

Manufactured from the highest quality materials and capable of working over distance from the conveyed material.

IAP separators often favoured over alternatives, as they can be placed directly over conveyor head pulley, across conveyor belt, vibrating chutes and slides.

With no ferrous construction materials used below the separator magnetic field, tramp material can be easily removed by using the stripping-scrapper device.

Ideally suited to cleaning material flows or protecting sensitive downstream plant.

The DISCOVERYLINE Series is the ideal combination for best results with sensor based sorting and an upstream Ferrous and non-ferrous metal separation solution.

Behind the name DISCOVERYLINE is more than 20 years experience working with industry to perfect this precise sorting system using NIR, X-Ray and Metal Detection.

The RCSX Series of eddy current separators, aka non-ferrous metal separators, are used where a high material recovery and cleaning rate is required.

Separation of plastic, wood, glass, sand and other aggregate from non-ferrous metal (aluminium), consisting of a two belt pulley system carrying a PVC belt where the tail pulley drives the belt.

The front pulley runs the bearing magnet system comprising of a hard core NEODYM multi permanent magnet non-ferrous metal separator.

The RCSX Series high frequency eddy currents, in the conductive components, generate inverse magnet fields to the rotor cleanly and efficiently dividing the material stream.

Each eddy current separator includes the patented GFK easy pulley shell system which removes the need to dismantle the pole drum when adjusting the position from 0° to 20°, saving operational down time.

Ideal for slag recycling, scrap recycling, aluminium recycling, WEEE electronic scrap recycling.

The RCSX CASCADE Separator Series takes the RCSX Series of eddy current separators to the next level of material recovery and cleaning.

The CASCADE utilises an additional non-ferrous separator to achieve up to 40% more recovery of non-ferrous metals.

Optimum application for 0.7 – 12 mm particle size, whilst prior separation of grain sizes increases the efficiency of the RCSX CASCADE.

Well proven IMRO technology for effecient operation and maintenance, when sorting plastic, wood, glass, sand and other aggregate from non-ferrous metal (aluminium).

The CASCADE Series can be configured as for single side non-ferrous output, double side output or either single/double with upstream accelerator separator with neodymium magnetic pulley.

The compact PS Series of rotary air separators have been designed for the removal of mixed weight materials (such as paper, card, film, wood chip, RDF/SRF) from primary conveying airflows and light fraction from secondary airflows (glass, drum separators, wind-shifters and WEEE separation).

Available in various sizes to match material fraction size to conveying volumes, the PS Series are compact, robust and dust free, due to the fully sealed design.

Conveying airflow enters the separator and passes over a perforated screen, which is continuously cleaned by a series of wear resistant rotating rubber blades.

The separated material is retained by the rotating blades and discharged at the base of the unit, whilst the clean air passes through the screen and exits the separator, to be either returned to the main air handling system or to a venting filter.

The SD Series of trommel screens (rotary screening drum) are used within solid waste processing applications for material classification with material flow separated into fine, medium and coarse fractions.

Consisting of an angled perforated cylinder, the elevated feed point is mechanically loaded ( typically by belt or screen conveyor), material separates as it spirals down the rotating cylinder.

Designed to process large volumes of material at minimal operating costs, drum dimensions and screen properties are determined by material flow volume, size and composition, with classified materials discharge for subsequent further processing.

Our range of storage facilities include the conventional AST Series of circular silos, for free-flowing materials, VF Series of rectangular bunkers for dissimilar materials and FS Series of bunkers for materials with poor flow characteristics.

AST Series, modular, storage silo is designed for the storage of free-flowing materials such as chips, dust and granules prior to briquetting, burning or onward processing.

These silos can be supplied with numerous options including, pitched roof, flat roof, out-feeder, screw conveyor, access hatches, explosion relief, level indicators, dust suppression, handrails and ladders.

VF Series, are typically employed for heavy-duty applications such as waste incineration, cement, pellet and power plants.  Utilising moving floors, vertical comb system and metering drum to ensure uninterrupted flow to a discharge arrangement.

The VF series require minimal maintenance and unlike conventional bunker storage containers, there are no drag chains or horizontal rakes to breakdown or become buried.

FS Series, have been specially developed for the intermediate storage of poor flow characteristics materials (film flakes, fibres, mono and multi-filament), with three vertical walls and one inclined agitator wall, they are available with single and ten horizontal discharge screws.

Screw conveyors are a well proven and wide spread solution for the transportation of granular materials, including shreddings, chippings and regrinds (also effective for the movement of materials with poor flow characteristics).

We commonly employ screw conveyors for general movement and distribution of materials from one process to another including shredder discharge and silo/hopper loading.

DISCHARGE SCREW CONVEYORS

Shredder discharge screws are used to transports shredded material out of the machine, form gravity loading into a bulk bag (support frame work required) or for supports the air extraction system.

Highly recommended for shredders with a working width of more than 1,000 mm.

LOADING SCREW CONVEYORS

Loading screws have the potential for high rates of transportation, over short distance, with minimal sound output and low power consumption.

Available in either trough, tube or flexible format screw conveyors can be exactly matched to the application.  As the name suggested flexible screw conveyors represent the most adaptable solution for transport of such materials as wood chips, sawdust, grinding dust, wood waste, shredded plastic and plastic regrind.

The flexible loading screw conveyors are manufactured from a special hardened steel, with high tensile strength and spring force characteristics.  It is without a central shaft making it possible to freely transport a diverse range of materials through horizontal/vertically curves and pitches with the absence of corners, gear wheels or chains to minimise maintenance free.

Contained either within a smooth bore special wear resistant PVC tube or hardened steel tube for abrasive/corrosive substances (other materials including stainless steel, PA and PE are available).
