As part of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling process, our range of industrial shredders play a key roll in the efficient and effective conversion of complete electronic items down to component parts. There are an estimated 50 billion devices expected to be in use across the planet by 2020, meaning a huge opportunity for recycling companies to successfully shred WEEE to more manageable sizes, then selling on the gold, silver, aluminium and other valuable elements for a decent return.

Our industrial shredding systems can handle mixed domestic and commercial electrical waste, separating ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and non-metals in accordance with EU legislation and to ensure the maximum percentage of material for recycling.

As well as processing general electrical waste our shredders are used for the destruction of data, in the form of computer hard drives including swipe cards, compact discs, electrical boards, DVDs, footage and tape, to ensure that reconstruction is impossible and fulfilling legal data protection requirements.

Depending on security level and the size of the end product required, the material can either be shredded in a single or two stage process.
