LIGNA 2025, taking place from the 26^th to 30^th May in Hannover, Germany, will see WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH showcase its extensive machinery portfolio and demonstrate how smart wood waste management and sustainable energy concepts can optimise daily operations for large industrial and small-scale businesses.

WEIMA shredders and briquette presses play an important role in reducing wood waste efficiently and sustainably. With over 40 years’ experience, WEIMA has been developing custom solutions for joineries, timber construction companies, furniture and interior manufacturers, sawmills and other wood processing industries.

Boosting Energy Efficiency with the WEIMA WL4

With rising energy costs and increasing environmental regulations, reducing operational expenses is becoming ever more critical for businesses. WEIMA is committed to continuously improving the energy efficiency of its machines.

At LIGNA, WEIMA will unveil the 11 kW drive option for the popular WL4 shredder. The optimised motor makes it possible to achieve similar shredding performance compared to the 18.5 kW version. This in turn uses significantly less energy, making operations more economical. This is particularly ideal for small workshops looking to reduce costs in the long term.

WEIMA Offers Versatile Machines

Together with the WL4 single-shaft shredder, WEIMA will also present the powerful WLK1500 single-shaft shredder and the TH1200 briquette press, showcasing how industrial applications can also be handled efficiently.

The WEIMA WLK1500 shredder is designed for processing high throughputs and coarse pre-shredding, whilst the TH1200 briquette press compresses large volumes of wood waste into high-quality briquettes, creating a sustainable fuel source from production waste.
